Compass Check: Figure out your next steps!

Lost in the woods of writing? Not sure how to make the leap to your next chapter or jumpstart your revision? Ready to shake off that year of writer's block… but you don’t really know how to begin?

“From her first reading of my early draft, Sloan saw its potential. Working together helped me to see where my manuscript could go, and helped me discover the tools I needed to take it there. “

Ready to stop deflecting questions about how the writing is going? Let’s talk about getting to the heart of your story and getting clear on what’s next so you can return to the page with a sense of ease and joy!

Join me for a “compass check” – a one-time, 60-minute coaching session for writers who need some inspiration, brainstorming help, and practical resources to figure out where they are and what direction they want to go next.

  • Don’t lose momentum because you’re stuck on one thorny plot point! Don’t abandon your book because you’re stuck on revisions!

  • Not sure if this first chapter is going anywhere? Can’t figure out how to organize your manuscript? Wondering if your little seed of an idea might just be *a book*? Let’s tackle that one big question.

  • Get a little boost of feedback to keep you moving before you’re ready for beta readers.

This is not a discovery call or pitch for another service, and it's not a full edit. If you're stuck mid-novel and want some feedback, or you want to talk through your idea or outline for a non-fiction book, this is for you! If you’re ready to revise but not sure where to start and not ready to pay for a full edit, this is for you! If you are trying to untangle a thorny project idea, or want to discuss some writing experiments for getting unstuck, or want to strategize about your next steps toward either querying or self-publishing, let's get some time on the calendar!

We’ll talk about your goals with this project, what might need a bit more thought. Depending on the situation, I’ll likely provide some writing exercises or suggested reading if you’re interested.

  4. You get back to writing! 😃
